A Ceramic assignment designed to help students explore historical form, slab construction and pattern making. Students research Korean and Japanese objects in the Freer Sackler Collection. They create a chosen silhouette with clay slabs. They cover the silhouette surface front & back with surface pattern and use paper stencils, underglaze and wax resist for surface decoration.
